Community Groups

Community Groups are where real relationships grow. They are one of the primary ways we live out our mission to pursue God and reflect the light of Jesus… together.

Following Jesus is a shared life.

Church is More than a Sunday Gathering

We believe following Jesus was never meant to be a once-a-week experience… or something we do alone.

Community Groups create space to share a meal, open Scripture, pray for one another, ask honest questions, and simply spend time together.

How that happens may look different from group to group, but the goal is the same:

To know one another well enough to actually walk through life together.

A place to know and be known

It can be easy to attend church without ever moving beyond friendly conversations on Sunday morning. Community Groups give us the time and space to go deeper.

They are places where burdens can be shared, joys can be celebrated, and we can encourage one another as we learn to follow Jesus in the ordinary parts of life.

You don’t need to have everything figured out. You don’t need to know the Bible inside and out. And you don’t need to already know everyone in the room. Community Groups are simply an opportunity to take a next step into the life of our church.

Groups that fit your life

Community Groups don’t all look the same at Foothills.

Some groups meet every week, while others gather a couple of times a month. Some include families with young children, while others bring together couples, singles, empty nesters, or women from different stages of life.

What happens when they gather varies, too. A group might share dinner and study Scripture together, work through a book or topic, spend time in prayer, or simply make room for conversation and fellowship.

The format may be different, but the purpose is the same:

Growing in our relationships with Jesus and with one another.

Finding a group

Community Groups meet in homes and gathering places throughout Albuquerque. If you’re interested in joining one, reach out and we’ll help you take the next step.
